Muay Thai

Muay Thai is recognized globally as one of the most effective striking arts today. As Thailand's national sport, Muay Thai, is based on simplicity and effectiveness honed over 2000 years.  Muay Thai is often referred to as "The Art of Eight Limbs", as the hands, shins, elbows and knees are all used extensively in this art. A practitioner of Muay Thai thus has the ability to execute strikes using eight "points of contact," as opposed to "two points" (fists) in Western boxing and "four points" (fists, feet) used in the primarily sport-oriented forms of martial arts.

Muay Thai is extremley effective in real life situations, be it in the competition ring or on the street as it relies on simple techniques and efficient movement to generate maximum power.

The R1 Muay Thai program is a combination of conditioning, drills & self defense that will give you a great martial arts workout while developing your striking skills.
